David Dalton
Chief Executive Officer

Originally from Limerick, married with four children, David is an avid Munster rugby fan but can also be found in Naomh Olaf GAA club and Lakelands FC coaching the Under 8 teams.

Donal Maher
Financial Controller

Nenagh native, Donal, is one of the more experienced Plan Ireland staff, joining the organisation in 2006.

Mike Mansfield
Head of Marketing & Sponsorship

Originally from Ballinasloe in Co. Galway, Mike joined Plan Ireland over five years ago and loves every bit of it!

Paddy Austin
Head of Programmes

Paddy Austin joined Plan in February 2013. Paddy has a strong background in overseas programme management of relief and development programmes across the sectors of health, education and livelihoods.

Sabrina Kevany
Head of Fundraising (currently on maternity leave)

Sabrina joined Plan in January 2013 with a blended background of advertising and not-for-profit. Graduating with a First Class Honours in Communications from DCU, she joined the creative department of McConnells Advertising where she worked as a Concept and Art Director for clients such as The Irish Times, BMW, Diageo, Innocent Smoothies and Concern.

Dualta Roughneen
Disaster Risk Management Co-ordinator & WaSH Advisor

Dualta joined Plan in 2009 after completing a Masters in Human Rights in UCD. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, having graduated from UCG in 2001, he worked with Coffey Construction in Foynes and the County Council in his native Mayo.

Barbara Scettri
Head of Development Grants

Barbara joined Plan as Education Programme Officer in September 2012. She holds a master's degree in cultural anthropology from Padova University in Italy, where after graduation she participated in research on female migration.

Daniel English
Media and Communications Officer

Daniel joined Plan in January 2012 having returned from a year in The Gambia in West Africa with Voluntary Service Overseas.

Christina Meehan
Donor Relations Administrator

A Dublin native, Christina spent the first 11 years of her life growing up in Zambia before moving to Ireland. Christina has spent three years living, studying and working in Amsterdam and has an MSc in Political Science and International Relations from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. There, she conducted research on Chinese aid to Sub Saharan Africa and its effects on Human Rights in the region. Christina also holds a BA in Politics and Greek & Roman Civilisation from University College Dublin.

Rachel Duke
Fundraising Officer

Rachel joined Plan Ireland in March 2014; with a background in fundraising and an interest in children’s rights. After graduating from Trinity with a degree in Sociology and Social Policy, she went on to work at the Irish Cancer Society and the Children’s Rights Alliance.

Louise Cribbin
Donor Relations Officer

Louise joined Plan Ireland in May, 2014. Louise has previously worked for organisations such as UNICEF Ireland and Sightsavers International.

Anne Farrell
Regional Fundraising Officer

Anne graduated from NUIG with a Bachelor of Law degree and worked as Regional Fundraiser with the Irish Wheelchair Association for two years during this time. Anne has also previously worked in the NUIG Sociology Department and before moving to FAS as Supervisor of CYTP (Community Youth Training Project) to complete a research project as a precursor to the Knock Airport development project.

Maghnus Collins
Treks Officer

Maghnus is a Limerick man and joined Plan Ireland on a part-time basis having previously worked within the NGO sector in Ireland. Maghnus graduated from NUIG with a degree and masters in Law. He has spent much of the past number of years undertaking expeditions with Sand2Snow Adventures.

Sharon Wall
Grant Accountant

Sharon joined Plan Ireland in October 2012 as a Grant Accountant.
After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Business and Economics in 2008, Sharon went to work for Deloitte in the financial services audit department. While in Deloitte she completed a training contract under the auspices of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Siobhan McCanny
Accounts Assistant

Siobhan joined Plan Ireland as an Accounts Assistant in August 2011. Originally from Tyrone, Siobhan moved to Dublin in November 2011 after taking three years out travelling to Australia and New Zealand.

Annette Fuhrmann
Education Programme Officer

Annette joined Plan in October 2013. After qualifying as an architect; with a thesis on building in the developing world, Annette spent 5 years working as an architect in Germany.

Aubert Ouango
EQUIP Programme Manager

Aubert is part of Plan Ireland's team in Burkina Faso where he has been the EQUIP Programme Manager since October 2013. He is a father of two boys (Runi and Loïc). Aubert likes to play tennis and run.

Didier Young
Business Development Specialist

Didier joined Plan International in March 2013. He brings with him 20 years of humanitarian experience in many African countries, mainly in emergency situations, developing and managing large-scale operations.

Frank Velthuizen
Disability Coordinator

Frank joined Plan Ireland in May 2014. Frank is originally from The Hague in The Netherlands, but upon completion of his studies he has worked and lived overseas in Uganda, Malawi, Sudan and Afghanistan.

Lorraine O'Toole
Compliance & Monitoring Programme Officer

Lorraine developed an interest in international development during the third year of her Business and Economics degree in Trinity College Dublin, where she took the ‘Economics of Less Developed Countries’ module. This inspired her to apply for her master's in Development Studies at UCD, which she completed in 2007. During her masters she travelled to Uganda and carried out primary research for her thesis ‘Universal Primary Education in Uganda a quality or flawed approach’.

Vanina Trojan
Child Rights & Advocacy Officer

Vanina joined Plan in January 2011 as Child Rights and Advocacy Officer to develop Plan Ireland's advocacy strategy and mainstream a child rights-based approach to programmes. Since 2013, Vanina has coordinated Plan Ireland’s Child Rights Programme portfolio which includes strategic lead, management and growth of international programmes relating to children's rights and the coordination of Irish-based advocacy initiatives for the promotion of children's rights.

Emilia Sorrentino
Education in Emergencies Specialist

Emilia has a background in Education in Emergencies and Psycho-Social Support. She has spent the last four years in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (Gaza and the West Bank) where she worked as Programme Manager and later as Country Director for an Italian NGO.

Mary Hanlon
Development Education Officer

With over ten years' experience within the not-for-profit sector, Mary comes to Plan Ireland from the organisation Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM) where she worked as Project Coordinator for four years in Ireland and Ethiopia.

Suzanne Walker
Programme Officer

Suzanne joined the Plan Ireland team as a Programme Support Officer in January 2011. She is a passionate advocate for children's rights and has volunteered with child-centered projects in Ireland and overseas.

Aidan Leavy
Inclusion Specialist (Plan International)

A native of Westmeath, Aidan joined Plan Ireland in May 2011. A graduate in social sciences, Aidan was previously Director of International Service Ireland (ISI), supporting people with disabilities in West Africa and South America.

Lisa Smyth
Wash Programme Manager

Lisa joined Plan Ireland in August 2014 as Community Based Wash Programme Manager. This position also covers projects on behalf of Plan Germany.

Lisa qualified as an architect in 2002 presenting a thesis on community participatory design as part of urban regeneration in the disadvantaged areas in Dublin. She work as an architect for 6 years before becoming involved in development in 2008 as a design consultant for Nurture Africa, an NGO in Uganda.

Barry Cunnigham
Programme Support Intern

Barry joined Plan in June 2014. His background is in Law, and he has a BCL and LLM from UCD. Having completed an MA in Human Rights and Genocide Studies from Kingston University, London, Barry’s first steps in the development/ humanitarian sector came while on a study placement with Self Help Africa.

Zena Ni Dhuinn-Bhig
Disaster Management Intern

Zena joined Plan Ireland in September 2014 after graduating with a first class honours in her Emergency Management masters from Dublin City University.

Gillian Quinn
Inclusion Assistant Intern

Gillian joined Plan in November 2014 as an Inclusion Assistant Intern.
