Paul O’Brien
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Paul O'Brien is CEO of Plan International Ireland. With a career spanning 30 years in development and humanitarian work he has lived and worked in a number of developing countries, including: Kenya, Sudan, Liberia, Bangladesh and Tanzania. A senior leader in Ireland’s NGO sector for the last 14 years Paul still travels extensively in his work with Plan International Ireland.

Sabrina Kevany
Head of Fund Development

Sabrina joined Plan International in January 2013 with a blended background of advertising and not-for-profit. Graduating with a First Class Honours in Communications from DCU, she joined the creative department of McConnells Advertising where she worked as a Concept and Art Director for clients such as The Irish Times, BMW, Diageo, Innocent Smoothies and Concern.

Donal Maher
Financial Controller

Nenagh native, Donal, is one of the more experienced Plan Ireland staff, joining the organisation in 2006.

Dualta Roughneen
Head of Programmes

Dualta joined Plan International Ireland in 2009 after completing a Masters in Human Rights in UCD. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, and was appointed Head of Programmes in February 2016.

Anne-Marie McCarthy
Emergencies' Coordinator

A committed and experienced humanitarian worker, Anne-Marie joins Plan International with 20 years experience having worked most recently in Nepal and Somalia. A keen knitter, Anne-Marie has been known to bake the odd cake.

Lisya Fins
Digital Marketing Officer

Lisya joined Plan International Ireland in September 2016; with a background in digital marketing and online advertising. After graduating from a BA degree on Sociology and MSc on Social Policy, she joined Google as an account strategist with a never ending passion for social impact. She then worked as an account manager at a digital performance agency for various clients including not-for-profit organizations.

Rachel Duke
Fundraising Officer

Rachel joined Plan Ireland in March 2014; with a background in fundraising and an interest in children’s rights. After graduating from Trinity with a degree in Sociology and Social Policy, she went on to work at the Irish Cancer Society and the Children’s Rights Alliance.

Christina Meehan
Donor Relations Officer

Christina joined Plan International Ireland in February 2013 with a background in Politics, International Relations and Human Rights. She is extremely passionate about gender equality, social diversity and inclusion and acts as the focal point for the Because I am a girl and child sponsorship campaigns.

Louise Cribbin
Donor Relations Officer

Louise joined Plan Ireland in May, 2014. Louise has previously worked for organisations such as UNICEF Ireland and Sightsavers International.

Emilia Sorrentino
Education in Emergencies Specialist

Emilia has a background in Education in Emergencies and Psycho-Social Support. She has spent the last four years in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (Gaza and the West Bank) where she worked as Programme Manager and later as Country Director for an Italian NGO.

Linda Fuhrmann
Programme Support Officer (Emergencies)

A dedicated humanitarian worker, Linda joined Plan International Ireland in September 2015 after working in West Africa in response to the Ebola crisis.

Lauren Konopacz
Programme Support Officer

Hailing from the United States, Lauren is an integral part of Plan International Ireland's Development team, and when not doing development, she likes to write post cards and home brew!

David Willaims
Programme Support Officer (Emergencies)

David joined Plan International Ireland’s Disaster Risk Management Unit in 2014, and is a Chartered Structural Engineer.

Siobhan McCanny
Accounts Assistant

Siobhan joined Plan Ireland as an Accounts Assistant in August 2011. Originally from Tyrone, Siobhan moved to Dublin in November 2011 after taking three years out travelling to Australia and New Zealand.

Angela Marques
Education Specialist

With over 12 years education, and six years development experience overseas, Angela joins Plan International Ireland as an experienced Education Specialist. Angela loves the outdoors and is a proud Portuguese woman.

Stella Cotorcea
Programme Support Officer (Emergencies)

Stella joined Plan International Ireland as an Intern, and is now a full time member of our DRM Team. A Masters graduate in Human Rights, Stella loves discovering new books, cultures and music.

Ronan O'Neill
Grant Accountant

An experienced accounting professional, Ronan is a keen runner and has spent over 10 years working overseas managing large development programmes.

Francesco Tropea
Desk Officer (Development)

Francesco joined Plan International Ireland in May 2016 after working in Lebanon during the Syrian Refugee Crisis. A keen tennis player, Francesco likes spending time with his family.

Didier Young
Business Development Specialist

Didier joined Plan International in March 2013. He brings with him 20 years of humanitarian experience in many African countries, mainly in emergency situations, developing and managing large-scale operations.

Aubert Ouango
EQUIP Programme Manager

Aubert is part of Plan Ireland's team in Burkina Faso where he has been the EQUIP Programme Manager since October 2013. He is a father of two boys (Runi and Loïc). Aubert likes to play tennis and run.

Aidan Leavy
Inclusion Specialist (Plan International)

A native of Westmeath, Aidan joined Plan Ireland in May 2011. A graduate in social sciences, Aidan was previously Director of International Service Ireland (ISI), supporting people with disabilities in West Africa and South America.

Gillian Quinn
Inclusion Officer (Plan International)

Gillian joined Plan International in November 2014 as an Inclusion Assistant and since July 2015, she works as an Inclusion Officer with Plan International Headquarters.

Gwen Duffy
Development Education and Disability Inclusion Intern

Gwen joined Plan in October 2016, having previously worked in the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice as Policy Assistant and in Benefacts – the Irish Database of Nonprofits.
