Paul O’Brien Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Paul O'Brien is CEO of Plan International Ireland. With a career spanning 30 years in development and humanitarian work he has lived and worked in a number of developing countries, including: Kenya, Sudan, Liberia, Bangladesh and Tanzania. A senior leader in Ireland’s NGO sector for the last 14 years Paul still travels extensively in his work with Plan International Ireland.
Donal Maher Chief Operations Officer
Nenagh native, Donal joined the organisation in 2006.
Dualta Roughneen Head of Programmes
Dualta joined Plan International Ireland in 2009 after completing a Masters in Human Rights in UCD. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, and was appointed Head of Programmes in February 2016.
Barbara Scettri Development Programmes Manager
Barbara joined Plan International Ireland in September 2012 with more than 15 years’ experience in the International Development and Humanitarian sectors.
John Rynne Emergency Programmes Manager
John joined Plan International Ireland in November 2019 and brings with him 20 years’ experience in the international development and humanitarian sectors.
Ambrose Duffy Head of Public Engagement
Ambrose joined Plan International Ireland in March 2018, and is primarily responsible for managing relationships with our many child sponsors.
Laura Quinn Corporate and Events Officer
Laura started in Plan International Ireland in January 2020, bringing over ten years' experience in the not-for-profit sector.
Keelin O'Sullivan Donor Relations Officer
Keelin joined Plan International as Public Engagement Intern in August 2019 and is now Donor Relations Officer.
Amanda Keane
Amanda started with Plan International Ireland in August 2020, bringing a passion for gender equality and experience in both international development and national NGOs.
George Massey Emergencies Programmes Officer
George's fieldwork experience includes programmes in Haiti, Iraq and Sierra Leone.
Stacey Dunne Emergencies Officer
Stacey joined Plan Ireland in November 2018 and is currently working with the Emergencies team. A dedicated Humanitarian she has over 6 years’ experience in the international development and humanitarian sectors and experience working with Government Institutions.
Sarah Davoren Programmes Desk Officer
Sarah joined Plan International Ireland as programmes desk officer.
Emilia Sorrentino Education in Emergencies Specialist
Emilia has a background in Education in Emergencies and Psycho-Social Support. She has spent the last four years in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (Gaza and the West Bank) where she worked as Programme Manager and later as Country Director for an Italian NGO.
Deirdre Murray Desk Officer (Development)
Deirdre joined Plan in July 2017, and has many years’ experience working in the international development sector.
Linda Fuhrmann Programme Support Officer (Emergencies)
A dedicated humanitarian worker, Linda joined Plan International Ireland in September 2015 after working in West Africa in response to the Ebola crisis.
Ashley Westpheling Development Education Officer
Ashley joined Plan International Ireland in 2019 following the completion of a MSc Humanitarian Action from University College Dublin.
Siobhan McCanny Management Accountant
Siobhan joined Plan Ireland as an Accounts Assistant in August 2011. Originally from Tyrone, Siobhan moved to Dublin in November 2011 after taking three years out travelling to Australia and New Zealand.

An experienced accounting professional, Ronan is a keen runner and has spent over 10 years working overseas managing large development programmes.
