Because I am a Girl I ask…lots of questions. I never stop questioning, learning or asking for help because if I don’t ask, who will?

Because I am a Girl I believe…in feminism and equality for everyone. Everyone can and should be equal and I believe some day that it will happen. I believe that feminism should be seen as a good thing and not a dirty word as feminism is not a scary thing.

Because I am a Girl I hope…that we will soon live in a world where women can be free to be themselves and that rape culture won’t be blamed on women for wearing and acting the way they want. I also hope that in the future, women don’t have to choose between education, motherhood and a career. We can have it all now so do what is right for you.

Because I am a Girl I wonder…if in my capacity at Intrigue.ie, I’ll be able to help as many women as I want to help. Never stop wondering, life gets boring without your inner monologue!

Because I am a Girl I dream…as high as I can. Being a woman means that I have no limitations, except ones that I give myself. We are our own worst critics.

Because I am a Girl I remember…being teased as a child for having my head in a book constantly and knowing now that it all paid off. Always be yourself, even if you’re different. It works out in the end.

Because I am a Girl I like…fashion but feel this means I am typecast. I’m fighting to break the mould by writing about all topics in my daily life to show that fashion isn’t a ‘girl’s thing’.

Because I am a Girl I dislike…bullying, size shaming and women setting out to make other women feel bad. Each woman is different and unique and the world needs to accept that. As a woman who works in the fashion industry, it is difficult to deal with so much criticism at times. My ambition is to change the way the fashion industry sees size.

Because I am a Girl I feel…honoured that I can work for women every single day. Our site is aimed at helping and reaching as many women as possible and it makes it all worth it when I get emails from girls says we have changed their lives in some way or another. Girl power!

Because I am a Girl I celebrate…women. We’re a pretty awesome bunch, can achieve anything and should celebrate that more often.
