Because I am a Girl I ask……. that my perspective be taken into account in any decision-making process.
Because I am a Girl I believe……… I can be President or Prime Minister, or anything else that I want to be for that matter.
Because I am a Girl I hope…….. that my voice can be heard on important matters that affect me.
Because I am a Girl I wonder………. what it would be like if women (and girls) ruled the world.
Because I am a Girl I dream……. of a kinder and fairer world where women and girls and their brilliant personalities, ideas and achievements are celebrated, empowered and encouraged.
Because I am a Girl I remember……… dreaming that one day I would be Queen and I would rule over the land and the men within it.
Because I am a Girl I like……… to analyse social, political and economic events taking place around the world.
Because I am a Girl I dislike…….. the fact that even in the 21st century, women and girls are still considered the weaker sex and are still marginalized and discriminated against.
Because I am a Girl I feel……….. blessed that I live in a time where we have women doctors and directors, politicians and poets, scientists and heads of corporations and charities, who make a positive impact in the 21st century.
Because I am a Girl I celebrate…….. those women and girls who have taken the world on; women and girls who make things happen; women and girls who have that captivating beauty and strength of personality that embraces life in all its endless variety; women and girls who have transformed their own lives and the lives of others through their hard work, guts and acts of compassion.
