Because I am a Girl I ask …When will we ever have the same income as men?
Because I am a Girl I believe …That with the right balance of education, social skills and confidence girls can achieve anything they set their mind to.
Because I am a Girl I hope ….That other girls growing up in our society find the right role models to look up to and realise that the media can often pull them astray from the right career paths, being “famous” is not a job that pays in the real world. Hard work and persistence always pays in the long run.
Because I am a Girl I wonder …Why more of us don’t choose a career over family.
Because I am a Girl I dream …About food nearly every 2 seconds, luckily I get paid to look and taste food all day.
Because I am a Girl I remember …Being the biggest tomboy when I was younger- the boys were always much more fun because they’d rather play sports than whisper in each other’s ears all day .
Because I am a Girl I like …To surround myself with good, loyal people everyday. There’s no point in wasting time with people who don’t care about you.
Because I am a Girl I dislike …Girly-girl stereotypes, there’s nothing wrong with showing people you’re well educated or that you’re into tech or hate wearing high heels
Because I am a Girl I feel …That it’s easier for me to express my feelings because I’m not a boy.
Because I am a Girl I celebrate…The fact that I have the confidence to be myself, so many girls conform to society and put a ceiling on whats expected of them. There’s more to life than pleasing others- please yourself first.
