“Because I am a Girl I like proving people wrong”
Because I am a Girl I ask … Why are we living in a world where men are seen to be superior to girls.
Because I am a Girl I believe …That women are equal to men and inequality should not exist.
Because I am a Girl I hope …That one day girls will realise it’s not okay to put each other down and will find respect for one another.
Because I am a Girl I wonder …If we’ll ever be fully respected in the world by men and be considered equal.
Because I am a Girl I dream …That every young girl has someone that they can look up to and be inspired by.
Because I am a Girl I remember …The feeling of being put down and discriminated against because of my gender.
Because I am a Girl I like …Proving people wrong.
Because I am a Girl I dislike …Being in the position where I have to prove myself.
Because I am a Girl I feel …Inspired, there’s so many amazing women out there who have made a huge impact on my life especially my mam, my cousins and my friends.
Because I am a Girl I celebrate…Life, love, friendship and everything the next 50 years has to offer me 🙂
