#NEPAL EARTHQUAKE
12 months on

Nepal is getting back on its feet, and it's thanks to you!

Nepal is on the mend, but the people still need your support.

Following the loss of nearly 9,000 lives following two destructive earthquakes in April and May 2015, Nepal, and its people, were left in a desperate situation. 605,000 homes, 35,000 classrooms and over 700,000 people pushed below the poverty line.

Fast Action

Plan International acted fast, and were on the ground within 24 hours providing life saving services such as emergency shelter, food and sanitation. The Plan International response to date has reached an estimated 287,847 people, including 117,230 children. We are now focusing our efforts in four priority districts: Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur and Sindhuli.

Your help

Our ability to respond to those most in need was strengthened by the generous support of the Irish people. We are grateful for your support and promise to use it in the best way possible to deliver the maximum amount of impact.
