Intercommunal violence in Pibor County, Jonglei State, has left thousands of people displaced and many wounded. Around 120,000 people have been displaced by the violence, most of those affected by the conflict are women, children and elderly people.

Plan in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) is engaged in relief food distribution to 50,000 people. At least 17,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have benefited during the first two weeks of food distribution.
