Funding is received from a variety of sources including through the public via child sponsorship, Irish Aid, EU, UN bodies, trusts, foundations and corporate firms.

This post will work with a strong team of specialists in the management of a diverse and growing portfolio of child centred development programmes.
Plan International Ireland has significantly grown its grant portfolio over the last few years, but needs to strengthen its systems and processes to ensure greater effectiveness in the management and reporting of grants. This role will support both the development and DRM unit.
Strengthen and maintain Plan International Ireland’s grants management system (Salesforce) in order to ensure effective grant budget and report tracking, in close coordination with programme officers and finance staff
Provide training to staff on the use of Salesforce and offer follow-up support and advice
File and maintain the relevant contract documents for grants – both active and archive – in order to comply with donor requirements
Provide relevant information on donors and grants for effective decision-making
Ensure that donor compliance issues are taken into consideration when developing new proposals by supporting Plan International Ireland programme staff and country office staff in the development of proposals
Review donor agreements from a donor compliance point of view (before signing) and provide summary of compliance issues where the donor is new to Plan Ireland programme staff and to the country office
Maintain and regularly update a database of all potential donors and their compliance rules
Regularly update relevant management staff and Programme Officers on new donor strategies, geographical and thematic priorities, future calls and requirements for applications.
Work closely with the Grants Accountant to understand the type of analysis that donors undertake when they conduct audits with particular emphasis on ECHO, EU, Irish Aid and country specific donors as required, and put in place measures to address any potential risks relating to audits
Liaise with Plan International’s Institutional Funding unit and programme quality team to learn and share information within Plan International Ireland programme team on relevant policies and procedures relating to donor and grant management
Track Plan evaluations and facilitate learning sessions
Provide input to Plan International initiatives to strengthen compliance with donor requirements and proposal documents
Attend and/or support conferences and meetings on issues relating to donor and/or Plan International compliance
Track small grants and liaise with marketing team on proposal development
Prepare communications on grants or projects if required
