Thought-provoking photo exhibition opens in Bunclody

36 profound images of girls from both Sierra Leone and Ireland are currently on display in Bunclody Library with a special Information Meeting due to take place on Thursday 31st March at 7pm for local Wexford people to find out more.

Her Story is an international award winning photography project, undertaken by Plan International Ireland as part of its Because I am a Girl movement which seeks to build a world where every girl can reach her full potential.

Mike Mansfield, Head of Marketing at Plan International Ireland says:

This is a great opportunity for families and schools in west and north Wexford to learn about Plan International Ireland’s work in breaking down the barriers that girls face every day in developing countries.

Leading Irish photographer, Jason Clarke travelled across Sierra Leone and Ireland capturing images of girls aged 0-17 years and hearing their stories.

“Stunning photos taken in the busy backstreets of Freetown and the farms and towns of Ireland make this an evening that you won’t want to miss,” added Mike.

“Join us on Thursday 31st, find out about the project and see how we can make the world a safer, more equal place for girls everywhere,” concluded Mike.
