Sandra joined the Child Rights Programme in June 2014. Previously she has worked directly with children and young people experiencing homelessness and at risk; and as a community worker within the community development sector in Ireland.
She holds a H.Dip in Community and Youth Work and an LLM in International Human Rights Law. Furthermore she has specific training and experience in working on the issues of gender based violence and child protection and in working with asylum seekers and refugees, Irish Travellers and Roma. She has also worked on child justice issues rights in Cambodia, supporting the development of programmes and advocacy initiatives.
Outside of Plan, she enjoys cinema, theatre, music festivals, sea kayaking and the odd surf.
