Francesco joined Plan International Ireland in May 2016 after working in Lebanon as Deputy Head of Mission responding to Syrian Refugees crisis.
Francesco brings with him 11 years of experience of working in development and humanitarian action, with NGOs and Government agencies in countries such as Sri Lanka, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Tunisia and Lebanon. During these engagements, he has gained relevant expertise in managing and coordinating multi-sectorial programming particularly in complex and protracted emergencies.
He started as a volunteer in Italy working with marginalized children and abroad in Holland organising recreational activities for children in asylum seekers centres.
Francesco holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies and a BA in International and Diplomatic Sciences, with a specialisation in Development Cooperation.
He enjoys travel, playing and watching tennis and spending quality time with his family.
