Frank joined Plan Ireland in May 2014. Frank is originally from the Hague in The Netherlands, but upon completion of his studies he has worked and lived overseas in Uganda, Malawi, Sudan and Afghanistan.
After completing a Masters in Inclusive Education at Roehampton University, with a thesis on barriers to inclusion in Sudan, Frank worked with Handicap International in Sierra Leone before joining Plan Ireland to promote the rights of children with a disability. This position is co-funded by Plan Finland, so Frank will also work on supporting the Finnish programmes.
In his free time Frank enjoys ball sports, being outdoors (either on foot, bike or canoe) and will stop when a rare bird is spotted. Together with Dutch partner Marloes, Frank looks forward to exploring Irish nature and culture.
