Gwen joined Plan in October 2016, having previously worked in the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice as Policy Assistant and in Benefacts – the Irish Database of Nonprofits.


Gwen joined Plan in October 2016, having previously worked in the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice as Policy Assistant and in Benefacts – the Irish Database of Nonprofits.

She holds a B.A. in Environmental Sciences from Trinity College Dublin and a M.Sc. in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. During her Masters, Gwen conducted research on the knowledge of and attitudes towards climate change of trainee secondary school teachers in Dar es Salaam College of Education, Tanzania.

She is particularly interested in the protection of vulnerable children living in poverty in the face of climate change.

Gwen assists with the creation of Development Education resources in Plan and works on developing practical disability inclusion tools for communities.

Gwen likes travelling, hill walking, experimenting with vegetarian and vegan cooking, and penguins.
