Lauren Konopacz
Desk Officer

Hailing from the United States, Lauren is an integral part of Plan International Ireland's Development team, and when not doing development, she likes to write post cards and home brew!

Lauren joined Plan International in March 2015 following the completion of her M.Sc in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin/University College Dublin.

During her masters, Lauren travelled to Brazil for four months to conduct primary research for her dissertation on land conservation and conflict between citizens and states, and interned at the UNDP Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery.

Lauren has an undergraduate degree in International Affairs and Asian Studies from the George Washington University. Prior to moving to Ireland, Lauren worked in education programmes and policy in Shanghai and Washington, DC.

She is particularly interested in the intersection between education and disaster risk reduction. Lauren is also interested in geography, cycling, writing postcards, and home brewing.
