Peter Bradbury
DRM Intern

Clare man, Peter Bradbury is interning with Plan International Ireland on its DRM Team following a move from social care into international development. Peter loves the outdoors!

Peter joined the Disaster Response Management team as an intern at the beginning of November 2015. His background is in providing direct support to people with disabilities and mental illness. He has travelled and volunteered in different countries from India, Nepal, Uganda, Kenya and recently returned from Serbia. He has been involved in projects in health care, child protection programmes, teacher’s assistant, humanitarian assistance and psychosocial workshops.

An active member of his community in County Clare, Peter is involved in his local Family Resource Centre, a participant in the community gardens project and was a crew member on the Search and Rescue Life Boat (RNLI) at sea.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education from GMIT, and recently graduated with an LLM in Human Rights and Refugee Protection from NUI Galway.

His passions are meeting new people from different cultures, hanging with friends and family, experiencing the great outdoors by sailing, biking and hiking.
