Rossa O'Donnell

Rossa has come on board with Plan after varying experiences in Ireland, India and Europe, focusing on health, education and peace, respectively. He has a real passion for sport and has experimented in bringing this into the development fold whilst working with youth.

These interests of his led him to completing a BSc in Sport Science & Health at DCU and subsequently an MSc in Global Health from TCD looking at how non-communicable diseases transcend national boundaries. While conducting these studies he became involved in the area of disability, which resulted in his research dissertation taking on the topic of the ‘Economic Empowerment of People with Disabilities in South Africa’.

In his spare time, Rossa takes part in all types of sport from Gaelic football to Golf and at the moment he is competing in a triathlon. He also likes to read a good action-thriller, watch movies based on a true-story or else go to a simple but funny comedy gig.
