Our door-to-door fundraising team are currently working on our behalf in the areas of Lucan, Naas & Sallins.
Plan International Ireland employs a team of paid fundraisers who act on our behalf to talk to people about our work, and to offer the opportunity to sponsor a child in the poorest parts of the world. You may meet our friendly team in your area.
All our fundraisers wear blue jackets and pink polo shirts branded with our logo. They will carry a visible ID badge with their details and our logo. If in doubt, you can also call our office on 1800 829 829.
Door-to-door fundraising allows us to talk with new supporters that may not hear about our work otherwise. It also helps us find new caring child sponsors for the children we work with and to raise vital funds to help them and their communities.
Child sponsorship is a fantastic way of changing the life of a child as you get to see the impact your gifts are having. For some, it also offers a special connection with that child and a window into their world. People who sponsor a child often tell us they find it an extremely rewarding experience and one that is personally meaningful in their lives.
Regular monthly support through a direct debit allows us to plan and commit to long-term sustainable projects in over 85,000 communities that we work with around the world.
Our fundraisers do not collect cash. If you would like to make a cash donation, you can do so here.
We report publicly on how we invest every euro we raise and we invite you to read our annual reports and financial accounts on our Finance & Governance page. In 2017, we were shortlisted for the Irish Good Governance Awards in the charity sector in Ireland.
93 cent of every euro we raise goes towards programmes that benefit children. The remaining 7 cent in every euro goes towards running the organisation and raising more funds to help more children.
The fundraising team are a professional team who receive training about our work and the amazing difference that child sponsorship makes in the lives of children. As a representative on our behalf, they aim to always be respectful and polite to everyone they meet. As Child Protection is at the heart of what we do, all fundraisers receive Child Protection Training.
Plan International Ireland and any agency we employ to work on our behalf adhere to all fundraising principles and codes of conduct as set out by the Charities Regulatory Authority and Charities Institute Ireland including the Code of Practice for Face to Face Fundraising.
